Leaked E-mails Muddy Waters Ahead of Climate Change Conference - FOXNews.com
President Obama faces no easy task in uniting dozens of bickering nations toward the goal of tackling climate change at an international conference in Copenhagen next week. But as if that weren't hard enough, a slew of leaked e-mails in the run-up to the conference has only fueled global warming skeptics who say the cause is bunk.
The president announced last week that he would attend the United Nations meeting, in a bid to drive some manner of agreement to set new greenhouse gas emissions targets -- though a legally binding deal is unlikely.
But shortly before his announcement, hackers broke into the servers at the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia in Great Britain and posted e-mails in which scientists dismissed climate change skeptics, expressed concern about the lack of evidence to prove the threat of global warming and even made one reference to a plan to "hide the decline" in temperatures.

As an American, I have witnessed many events in our nation's history. Some of them great like placing a man on the moon. Some of them were dark and shameful events. No matter what happened, it is the people that make this nation great. Each looking to the future with optimism and looking to improve this nation for all. The United States is a great and wonderful nation and her people are her best asset. As Americans, we need to stand together and let our voices be heard.

Climate Change Scientists Admit Dumping Data
Climate Change Scientists Admit Dumping Data - Biology | Astronomy | Chemistry | Physics - FOXNews.com
Scientists at the University of East Anglia have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.
My thoughts: If the facts don't bare out your conclusion, just dump the data you don't want and leave only the information that proves your point. So what if no one can review your calculations for accuracy. Big deal, right?

Wall Street Journal OpEd Piece Sums Up Feelings on President Obama for Both Arab and US
I was reading a very interesting article about President Obama in the Wall Street Journal. It was an OpEd piece about the Arabs and how they are no longer applauding Obama's efforts.
This article reminds me of the "Saturday Night Live" skit about Obama's "Do Nothing" position.
The last paragraph in the OpEd piece sums up quite nicely the feeling of the Arabs and the citizens of the United States.
The laws of gravity, the weight of history and of precedent, have caught up with the Obama presidency. We are beyond stirring speeches. The novelty of the Obama approach, and the Obama persona, has worn off. There is a whole American diplomatic tradition to draw upon—engagements made, wisdom acquired in the course of decades, and, yes, accounts to be settled with rogues and tyrannies. They might yet help this administration find its way out of a labyrinth of its own making.

ACORN Can Receive Pending Federal Payments, Justice Department Says
ACORN Can Receive Pending Federal Payments, Justice Department Says - FOXNews.com
The Obama administration can legally pay the embattled community organizing group ACORN for services performed under contracts before Congress banned the government from providing money to the group, the Justice Department has declared.
Although I'm not happy with this, I can see why the government can release these funds to ACORN. I do believe that the organization needs to be investigated and closely monitored in the future.

Senate Poised to Take Up Health Care Bill Next Week
Senate Poised to Take Up Health Care Bill Next Week - FOXNews.com
The Senate's Thanksgiving break will end with a bang Monday when debate is scheduled to begin on sweeping legislation to remake the U.S. health care system, a showdown likely to last for weeks.
The debate on the Senate's version of the legislation will test the strength of a re-energized Republican insurgency and the loyalty of a fractured Democratic majority.
This will be fun to watch. I think the Blue Dog Democrats will be breaking ranks with their party over this bill.

Judge Erases $525G Mortgage for N.Y. Couple, Citing "Repulsive" Acts by Bank
Judge Erases $525G Mortgage for N.Y. Couple, Citing 'Repulsive' Acts by Bank - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com
A Long Island couple is home free after an outraged judge gave them an amazing Thanksgiving present — canceling their debt to ruthless bankers trying to toss them out on the street.
Suffolk Judge Jeffrey Spinner wiped out $525,000 in mortgage payments demanded by a California bank, blasting its "harsh, repugnant, shocking and repulsive" acts, the New York Post reported.
The bombshell decision leaves Diane Yano-Horoski and her husband, Greg Horoski, owing absolutely no money on their ranch house in East Patchogue.
Spinner pulled no punches as he smacked down the bankers at OneWest — who took an $814.2 million federal bailout but have a record of coldbloodedly foreclosing on any homeowner owing money.
OneWest also has a similar case in California. In that case, they are trying to foreclose on an 89 year old woman after being told twice by the courts to stop their activities and work with the woman.

ACORN Dumped Sensitive Documents as Probe Began, Private Investigator Says
A private investigator says he found tens of thousands of sensitive documents dumped outside a California ACORN office just days after the state attorney general announced an inquiry into the community organizing group.
Derrick Roach, a licensed investigator based in San Diego, told FoxNews.com he paid an impromptu visit to the city's ACORN branch on Oct. 9 and watched from his car as a man tossed bags of files into a Dumpster outside the building.

Senators Size Up Next Steps in Health Care Debate
Senators Size Up Next Steps in Health Care Debate - FOXNews.com
Calling the Senate health care bill a package that Ponzi schemer "Bernie Madoff would really envy," Republican Sen. Jon Kyl said Sunday that the legislation to be debated in December is long on promises but short on accounting.
To be quite honest, I believe that all government employees should have to use whatever plan that is forced on the public. I'm tired of seeing Congress getting more and more perks. As I have mentioned before, I am not impressed with either party.

GAO: Stimulus Jobs Data Inaccurate
GAO: Stimulus Jobs Data Inaccurate - FOXBusiness.com
Administration reports that more than 640,000 jobs were created or saved by the government’s $787 billion stimulus program are inaccurate due to flawed reporting from recipients of the money, a report from the Government Accountability Office shows.
About 10% of those jobs – more than 58,000 – were created as the result of projects that so far have reported spending no money, the GAO study issued on Thursday found. Another 10,000 projects that have spent a total of $965 million reported creating no jobs. As many as 10% of stimulus recipients did not report anything to the government’s Recovery Board, the agency created to track the money.
The only benefit I have seen from the stimulus package is the extensions given by the government to my unemployment benefits. So far, I have sent out almost 1200 applications and close to 600 applications. Still nothing, but rejections.

Missouri Teen dug Grave Anticipating Murder
Police Mo teen dug grave anticipating murder - Road Runner
This story gave me a sudden chill up and down my spine. The 15-year old girl stated to policed that she wanted to know how it felt to murder another individual.
"Ultimately, she stated she wanted to know what it felt like," Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. David Rice testified Wednesday during a court hearing over the slaying.
This is so very sad. Has our society slipped this far? It sickens me to think that following generations are slipping into depravity.

More about America's Debt: China
While watching Fox News, I was listening to Stuart Varney, the financial correspondent. He pointed that China now owns $797.1 billion of our debt. I find that very alarming. Do you realize that a communist country owns 23.35% of our debt?
With more and more jobs going overseas along with our money, it is very difficult to see us remaining as a super power. What has happened to our nation? I know that we have had public debt since the inception of the United States. However, we are spending more and more. Politicians continue to shovel our money into the furnace at an alarming rate. How can they say that taxes will not go up and that current levels of services will not suffer?
All I can say is that Congress uses smoke and mirrors to help with the disappearing act of our money and jobs.

Source: GM to Begin Repaying Aid by Year-End - FOXNews.com
WASHINGTON -- General Motors Co. will begin paying back $6.7 billion in U.S. government loans by the end of 2009 and could pay off that full amount by 2011, four years ahead of schedule, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The government debt represents about 13 percent of the $52 billion that U.S. taxpayers have invested in General Motors, the majority of which was exchanged for a 61 percent ownership stake in the company.
GM will announce the repayment plan Monday when it releases its preliminary third-quarter earnings results, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity. The person was not authorized to speak publicly about the plan ahead of the announcement.
Thank you, GM! It looks like the American Automotive industry is slowly recovering.

Iran Slams U.S. Moves to Seize Muslim-Owned Properties
Iran Slams U.S. Moves to Seize Muslim-Owned Properties - Local News News Articles National News US News - FOXNews.com
NEW YORK — Iran on Sunday denounced as 'disgraceful' U.S. moves to seize four mosques and a New York City skyscraper owned by a Muslim nonprofit organization suspected of Iranian links.
Ali Larijani said the moves show that President Barack Obama's slogan for change was deceitful and he was no different from his predecessor George W. Bush.
I think that this is very interesting. The US has offered to discuss the situation regarding their enrichment program. Iran has rejected it. If Iran has nothing to hide, why won't they discuss this openly.
As I had mentioned before, we have given Iran too much time and opportunities. I think they will have a nuclear weapon shortly or may have one already.

Obama Urges Congress to Delay Fort Hood Investigation
Obama Urges Congress to Delay Fort Hood Investigation - FOXNews.com
President Obama on Saturday urged Congress to hold off on any investigation of the Fort Hood rampage until federal law enforcement and military authorities have completed their probes into the shootings at the Texas Army post, which left 13 people dead.
Agree with the President on this one. Let's let law enforcment and the military complete the investigation before Congress gets involved with it.
Given Congress' past track record on investigations, we will have more questions than answers.

Time Is Running Out for Iranian Nuclear Deal, Obama Says - FOXNews.com
SINGAPORE -- President Obama pushed Sunday for continued pressure on Iran and its nuclear program. Appearing with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Obama said "we are now running out of time" for Iran to sign on to a deal to ship its enriched uranium out of the country for further processing.
As for me, time ran out a long time ago when it comes to Iran. We have given them too much time and they have gotten further and further in their enrichment program.

The personal Web site for a radical American imam living in Yemen who had contact with two 9/11 hijackers is praising alleged Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan as a hero.
The posting Monday on the Web site for Anwar al Awlaki, who was a spiritual leader at two mosques where three 9/11 hijackers worshipped, said American Muslims who condemned the attacks on the Texas military base last week are hypocrites who have committed treason against their religion.

As a crowd of protesters shouted "kill the bill," House Republicans on Thursday rallied opposition against the Democrats' health care legislation, even as President Obama touted two major endorsements from doctors and seniors groups.
While I have been traveling, I have talked to a lot of strangers. The one thing we have in common in discussion is the health care bill. No one likes what Congress is doing. Many say the same thing. "VOTE THEM ALL OUT OF OFFICE!"

Sources: House Health Bill Totals $1.2 Trillion
Sources: House Health Bill Totals $1.2 Trillion - FOXNews.com
WASHINGTON -- The health care bill headed for a vote in the House this week costs $1.2 trillion or more over a decade, according to numerous Democratic officials and figures contained in an analysis by congressional budget experts, far higher than the $900 billion cited by President Barack Obama as a price tag for his reform plan.
While the Congressional Budget Office has put the cost of expanding coverage in the legislation at roughly $1 trillion, Democrats added billions more on higher spending for public health, a reinsurance program to hold down retiree health costs, payments for preventive services and more.
I guess we are finally talking "real" money here. What's a trillion dollars here and trillion dollars there. The cost of health care is spiraling out of control. We need to address that more than anything else. Think about it. I used to pay $5 for a prescription. The actual cost is almost $40. Since most people including our own doctors are insulated from the true prices of health care, they have no clue what it is costing someone. It doesn't matter who pays for the health care. Ultimately, we all do either through government programs or through higher premiums.
I have friends who are doctors and they are considering going to a cash only system. They are tired of the insurance problems and employing more people just to handle the red tape of the insurance companies. In some offices, there are more people who handle insurance than those who handle patients. Don't you think that's crazy.
